On October 21, 2009, the best and brightest in Canadian business leadership meet at Toronto's Carlu Conference Center for the 2009 Canadian Business Leadership Forum.

The Canadian Business Leadership Forum, now in its sixth year, is a one-day event designed to inspire and motivate attendees with new skills, innovative thinking and guidance from Canadian business leadership all-stars.

Held at the Carlu Conference Centre at 444 Yonge Street in Toronto, Ontario, the forum brings together keynote speakers and guests Belinda Stronach, Chris Anderson, Thomas Homer-Dixon, Ian Clifford, Rahaf Harfoush, and David Rosenberg to share their experiences with Canadian business attendees.

Thomas Homer-Dixon and Belinda Stronach to Kick Off Business Leadership Event

Professor and author Thomas Homer-Dixon is set to take the stage at 8:50am as the opening keynote speaker, after a short welcome from Steve Maich, Editor of Canadian Business magazine. Homer-Dixon has recently focused on threats to global security in his research, and plans to present The Climate-Energy Challenge: How will it change our economy and society.

Belinda Stronach, Executive Vice-Chairman of Magna International Inc. and Fortune magazine's silver medal winner for their 2002 Most Powerful Women in Business, among her many other accomplishments, follows at 9:30am with Philanthropy as Competitive Advantage.

Ian Clifford and Rahaf Harfoush Talk Cars, Canadian Business and Social Media

Zenn Motor Company Founder & CEO Ian Clifford takes the stage after Stronach, at 10:40am. Clifford will share his unique perspective on the current state of the auto industry and electric cars in a presentation entitled Leadership in the New Auto Sector.

New media strategist Rahaf Harfoush served as a member of Barack Obama's Presidential Campaign New Media Team and authored Yes We Did! (May, 2009). The social media maven offers an inside look into new media strategy in her presentation An Inside Look at How Social Media Built the Obama Brand at 11:20am.

Learning Leadership with David Rosenberg and Chris Anderson

After lunch and the 2009 All-Star Execs awards presentation, economist/strategist David Rosenberg will deliver a 50-minute presentation. The former Chief North American Economist at Bank of America-Merrill Lynch and top-ranked economist for the seventh year running is scheduled to share his Global Economic Outlook.

Attendees will be learning leadership and "freeconomics" with Special Guest Chris Anderson, author and Editor-in-Chief of Wired magazine. Anderson closes the leadership forum with a speech on free business models entitled, Freeconomics: How to Thrive When FREE! is the Future of Business.
